Not long ago, one of our largest Sysdine customers became interested in increasing the number of employment applications flowing into their company. They decided to try a job board. (Job boards are internet sites which hook up persons looking for work with companies looking to hire. From within the job board, an applicant can go directly into the company's Sysdine-based online application.)
Of the job boards specializing in hourly workers, they chose one called SnagAJob.com. The result was an immediate and rather spectacular surge in applicants. The company then decided to bring a second job board into the mix. But they quickly began having concerns about which service was actually producing the most cost-effective results.
Managing Job Boards with Sysdine
How might they determine this? They turned to a powerful new tool for monitoring job board results: Sysdine's Web Board Results Report. The report showed that SnagAJob was winning hands-down in cost-effectiveness. So they increased their usage of SnagAJob, and dialed back the second board. Today, SnagAJob accounts for around 50 percent of the company's applicants.
Other Sysdine customers have used the Web Board Results Report to monitor applicant flow from such sources as Craigslist and state employment agency job listings. The report shows the number of applicants from each job board or list, and it even tracks the number of hires resulting from those applications.
